THE CUSTOMER'S CHALLENGE
The Network Collective engaged with Kier when it was approaching the end of its WAN contract with BT. Under this contract, BT delivered WAN services to 450 locations in the UK. Kier were keen to review the solution and contract they had with BT, and find out more about alternatives available in the market. The Network Collective's unique Virtual RFP product was the perfect tool for Kier, allowing it to assess the technical, operational and commercial suitability of their current WAN, and to consider the business case to either extend the relationship with BT, or migrate to an alternative service provider.
THE NETWORK COLLECTIVE APPROACH
The Network Collective's Virtual RFP service delivered a comprehensive review of Kier's BT WAN and identified significant commercial and technical areas where improvements were required. The Virtual RFP process delivered tremendous clarity and insight into Kier's future network strategy, which plainly showed the optimal route forwards for Kier.
Following the successful completion of the Virtual RFP, Kier engaged The Network Collective to manage the procurement process to realise the benefits identified in the Virtual RFP. This process included The Network Collective supporting an extensive technical design process, and was completed to the highest standards of professionalism, ethics and corporate governance. The outcome of the procurement process was Kier entering into a contract with Cable & Wireless for a new WAN that delivered significant commercial, operational and technical benefits, thus accomplishing all of Kier's objectives.
Keir was so pleased with the service that The Network Collective provided that it has now engaged us to undertake a similar review and procurement process for Kier's fixed voice and mobile telephony requirements.
THE CUSTOMER'S VIEW
"Partnering with TNC for these procurement processes ensured we had access to impartial, professional, up-to-the-minute details and data on the marketplace and future industry trends. This allowed Kier to make an informed decision on the best WAN partner for the new contract and ensured TNC delivered a great Return on Investment for Kier. We are now excited about the value TNC will deliver on our voice and mobile contracts."
