Person Specification – Senior Consultant (Technical Consultant)

 

Qualifications & Professional Background

  • Proven experience delivering technical solutions across network and telecoms domains (e.g., SD‑WAN, SASE, UCaaS, CCaaS, LAN/WiFi, Mobility)
  • Strong background in complex network and telecoms architectures for enterprise customers
  • Demonstrable experience capturing, analysing, and validating technical requirements
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects within a consulting or technical services environment

 

Knowledge & Technical Skills

  • Broad, up‑to‑date understanding of network and telecoms technologies and operational models
  • Ability to review and challenge customer strategies to ensure alignment with current industry best practice and emerging trends
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex technical and business requirements
  • Proficiency producing high‑quality technical documentation for customer‑facing output
  • Knowledge of procurement processes, evaluation methodologies, and commercial comparison models

 

Project & Delivery Skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and deliverables simultaneously across a range of customers and services
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to produce accurate, thorough work under pressure
  • Competence using project management tools and software for progress reporting and governance tracking
  • Demonstrated reliability, initiative, and responsibility in delivery of assignments

 

Interpersonal & Communication Skills

  • Excellent communication skills, able to engage effectively with customers, colleagues, and vendors at all levels
  • Ability to manage customer expectations professionally throughout all stages of project engagement
  • Strong negotiation, advisory, and stakeholder‑management skills, suited to both technical and non‑technical audiences
