Job Description: Account Director

Job Title: Account Director

Reports to: Chief Revenue Officer

Description: Targeted on new business, account development, responsible for lead generation, lead management, sales calls/meetings/presentations, proposal writing/presentation, negotiation of terms, closing deals. Work with the wider TNC team to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction with current projects

Sales

  • Engage with current and prospective customers of TNC to generate sales by securing engagements for TNC’s services
  • Attend (by call, video conference and face-to-face) meetings with new and existing accounts, with the aim of identifying and qualifying sales opportunities
  • Prepare, write and present proposals in response to these sales opportunities, ensuring they comply with company guidelines and fees have been approved by the Chief Revenue Officer or CEO
  • Responsible for developing and executing the closing plan for these proposals, including leading any negotiations, development of necessary documentation (e.g. Statement of Works etc.)
  • Create, manage, and maintain a realistic pipeline on SalesForce, and update the CRO on the status of the pipeline at an agreed frequency
  • The number of deals to be closed per annum will be based on your overall targets as will be set out in your annual commission plan

Lead Generation

  • Own, manage and be involved in all steps in the lead generation process, from prospect identification, sourcing appropriate target contacts, developing and executing bespoke calling, marketing and event programmes
  • Responsible for all lead generation and prospecting activity in your allocated accounts
  • Use a wide range of tools and techniques to develop your prospects, including:

Account Management

  • Develop, manage, and extend TNC’s relationships within your allocated accounts, and thereby identify and close new sales opportunities
  • Act as the champion for your accounts within TNC, so ensuring the success of engagements sold
  • Track key data points for each account (highlighting triggers for relevant activity at appropriate times for each account)
  • Develop account development plan for each account, including offering your accounts access to TNC’s insight via white papers, webinars, breakfasts, Executive Briefings etc.

Project Management

  • Attend weekly calls with Consultants where appropriate
  • Oversee the successful delivery by the consulting team of a range of projects and project types (including those in the areas of strategy, procurement and in-life management), across a number of customers simultaneously
  • Demonstrate a range of commercial, technical, procedural and process, inter-personal, negotiation and advisory skills to a variety of customer personnel

Account Liaison

  • Produce high quality customer-facing documentation at relevant periods during sales and project delivery phases
  • Manage customer expectations throughout each engagement
  • Ensure contact plans are in place for the wider customer base
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
