St. James’s Place Case Study
As a result of the Strategy Development and procurement activities undertaken by TNC, St. James’s Place anticipates substantially reducing its recurring spend on its Telecoms services.
St.James’s Place had multiple service providers, a different voice and data network and a complex internet based VPN infrastructure. The customer was interested to learn if there was benefit to converging voice and data into a single platform and delivering them over a single service provider’s network. Another consideration was whether the cost of this type of solution would be more competitive that their current multi-provider solution.
1. TNC was engaged to perform strategy development in the form of a Virtual RFP. The first step was analysis to identify requirements and develop a clear picture of the current landscape. Several alternative technical designs were presented for WAN, telephony and internet services, each with indicative commercial models developed to establish which was the most cost effective.
2. Through the Strategy Developmentengagement, TNC identified several commercial, technical and operational opportunities for St.James’s Place to pursue.
3. Following the strategy development TNC was engaged to run a fully managed procurement process to deliver the optimum model; to consolidate all services into a single provider converged network solution. TNC gathered the set of requirements and developed a comprehensive RFP and commercial pricing matrix. TNC managed the vendor relationships and a collective decision was made on the preferred provider.
4. TNC’s in-house subject matter expert managed the contract negotiation on behalf of St.James’s Place to deliver optimum contractual terms which align to the current best practices.
St.James’s Place will realise a significant cost reduction, improved reliability due to a better technical design, improved support and maintenance, improved user experience, increased security and future proof capabilities.
As a result of the Strategy Development and procurement activities undertaken by TNC, St.James’s Place anticipates substantially reducing its recurring spend on its Telecoms services.
We didn’t have the necessary specialist procurement and legal skills in house available for such a specialist area and I felt we could totally trust TNC to help us get the best outcome for our business.
