The Project

Mott MacDonald had negotiated a benchmarking clause in its Global WAN network contract to ensure pricing-maintained parity with market rates. The Network Collective was engaged to run the benchmarking process.

The Solution

The Network Collective began by liaising with the WAN supplier to understand the nuances of Mott MacDonald’s network and pricing. Once a baseline of services and pricing had been agreed Network Collective consultants then measured it against their extensive in-house database of current market services and pricing for WANs.

The Network Collective then produced a benchmark report for Mott MacDonald that found that the existing WAN contract pricing differed to The Network Collective’s view of market pricing. The Network Collective then conducted a series of presentations and discussions with the supplier and Mott MacDonald, making adjustments as required to reach an agreed position.

The supplier accepted The Network Collective’s findings and made an offer to Mott MacDonald to adjust their pricing to align it to current market pricing.

The Network Collective took this project on and drove it to conclusion professionally and in a timely manner. There were a number of issues to resolve relating to matching current and new technology price comparisons which The Network Collective managed to a successful outcome.
