Person Specification – Senior Consultant (Technical Consultant)
Qualifications & Professional Background
- Proven experience delivering technical solutions across network and telecoms domains (e.g., SD‑WAN, SASE, UCaaS, CCaaS, LAN/WiFi, Mobility)
- Strong background in complex network and telecoms architectures for enterprise customers
- Demonstrable experience capturing, analysing, and validating technical requirements
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects within a consulting or technical services environment
Knowledge & Technical Skills
- Broad, up‑to‑date understanding of network and telecoms technologies and operational models
- Ability to review and challenge customer strategies to ensure alignment with current industry best practice and emerging trends
- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex technical and business requirements
- Proficiency producing high‑quality technical documentation for customer‑facing output
- Knowledge of procurement processes, evaluation methodologies, and commercial comparison models
Project & Delivery Skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and deliverables simultaneously across a range of customers and services
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to produce accurate, thorough work under pressure
- Competence using project management tools and software for progress reporting and governance tracking
- Demonstrated reliability, initiative, and responsibility in delivery of assignments
Interpersonal & Communication Skills
- Excellent communication skills, able to engage effectively with customers, colleagues, and vendors at all levels
- Ability to manage customer expectations professionally throughout all stages of project engagement
- Strong negotiation, advisory, and stakeholder‑management skills, suited to both technical and non‑technical audiences

- Ability to build and maintain credible peer relationships with key market vendors to remain informed of technical developments and trends
